My vote is for Socom! Lots you can do with it down the road. + if you ever get sick of it your local and it wont be a far drive for me to come take it off your hands

What do you think would be the smallest size of person (sounds weird but can't think of any other way of saying it) that could use the M14 effectively?

Large battery for... anything. Read the buying a first gun review Here.

The Socom should be easy to handle if you're small or big. The bigger original M14 should be handled by someone of a above average height or build IMO.

Ohh ic, so for example could a teenager handle the socom easy? like say around average height....uhmmm 5'7? and a new adult (18-20) handle the normal? or doesn't really matter what size?

i have an m14 (not socom) im 6feet tall and i have no issues using the m14, it really is all about how you use it, m14's are meant to be marksman's rifle, if you want something to run out shooting, thats what M4s and aks are for

if there is anyway you can get your hands on one before you put down the $600 to buy one, go for it. once you hold one you will realise how much it actualy weighs.

the silencer on my m14 actualy does ALOT. because of the heavy metal and thick plastic stock you cant really hear much noise comming from the gearbox/motor. most of it comes from the end of the barrel. slap a silencer on there and you can barely hear it.

Recently got mine.

Cost me my JG SIG 552, and my M16. I'd estimate that it cost me about $800 in guns sold & traded...But damn is it sexy.
