Should've warned you about that. My bad.

I just bought a Condor softshell off of a local member last week. Great softshell, especially for the money.

What's a good type material that will stay cool in summer? I think the shells won't breathe very well.

Here's the thing. You don't really need a shell in the summer (esp in Calgary since we rarely get rain).
Now if it's for the look, get an unlined soft shell. Probably your best bet. Pit zips would be a plus too.

If it's for the look, there's this in cotton blend...
http://www.tadgear.com/shop.php?id=641 But it's nearly $200 and only comes in Multicam... Or a fleece hoodie; warm, but more breathable than softshell... http://www.tadgear.com/shop.php?id=619

I love my Covert Cardigan but it pills like a mofo. I prefer to wear it as a midlayer.

I got a the Arc'Teryx Rho LT Zip base layer shirt and god I love this shirt! The only bad thing about it, is that I can't wear it 24/7 because that would be gross not to wash my cloth.
Definatly a good base layer for cool tempeture. I got the one in Polartec too, wich is super warm on it's own. You can't go wrong with that brand! Oh and the gloves (Delta SV) are pure sex for the hands to wear! Yeah.. I'm an Arc'teryx whore...

If TAD was easyer to purchase, I would be all over it too.
I don't like ordering clothing online, unless I tried it on before. And even so, TAD stuff is always out of stock in my size.

TAD is always out of stock because they make their clothing in "small quality controlled batches". I translate that to mean, "keeping their shit rare so they can justify jacking up the prices."
