Used mine recently in a skirmish in -8 to -10 Celsius temperatures. Heavy auto-fire around 2000 rounds and the battery lasted a good 4- 5 hours. Try putting one of those chemical handwarmers into the stock in cold weather it really made a difference. BTW I recently purchased a 9.6 V battery for this gun and I haven't gotten a chance to use it, I havent upgraded my gun at all do you think it is possible to damage the gun with a 9.6 V battery?

Wouldn't this gun disassemble the same as would any TM MP5 series?

As for hop-up unit quality - the TM MP5's have issues out of the box as well, so don't discredit as 'cheapness', rather think of it as 'inherited quality'...hah...

Honestly though I thought this thread was about a movie or documentary or something...

If the choice is this or the Kraken, popular opinion seems to lean towards the Kraken. They both have fairly good reviews but the Kraken has more compatable and easier to get parts and functions alittle better. I personally have a Kraken as a loaner/backup/project gun and it works good, no problems with it so far.

Buy one from Bass pro shops in the US (don't worry about customs, everyone I know of has gotten them fine because it's a clear receiver) or get it from airgunsource.com- they are out of Peterborough, ON

I got some metal CA mags- they work sweet; or just get the cheap bulk packs of plastic mags that UNcompany has, though they might need a bit of lube.

This gun is real easy to take apart and change parts. Mine worked great in -8/ -10 weather; ditto on the hand warmers- used it all day with no problems. Expect to see a lot more of these out there in the next while, it's a great alternative to the Kraken, for those who hate the looks of AK's

On the hop-up, this seems to be the only issue I've heard about- if you want a really good gun, plan on replacing it and putting in a tightbore. The internals are pretty tough for stock- just search around on YouTube for a guy named 'Killbucket" who tries to break it by firing it continually for like 3 minutes straight.

There's a retailer in the classifieds that sells these (I won't say who here in the open forum but he's not hard to find if you're age verified), better there then Bass Pro, shipping from the States is murder.

As far as I know the Broxa takes regular mp5 mags. Plastic Star mags are one of the easiest types to get and they're pretty cheap at $3 to $5 a mag, or if you're on a budget (and don't mind rattling) you can get a metal hicap for like $15 which would give you about the same amount of ammo as 10 Star realcaps, though the gun comes with a decent hicap (though clear and plastic). For those with money to burn you can get metal mags for $15 to $25 each, though if you have that kind of money to burn then why get a Broxa.

+1, though I'm a BB Bastard man myself.

Velocity Arms was the retailer I was referring to. I didn't know he had a separate web site though.

On the website almost all of Velocity Arm's magazines are high-caps. This makes me sad

With the exception of mags with fake bullets, mags aren't restricted so you can get them anywhere. Yeah, shipping is murder but such is life, at least they're obtainable. MP5's are pretty common and thus so are the mags, so you can usually get low and realcaps in the classifieds for decent prices fairly easily.
