Well, I've actually switched my order over to the new pattern, which is even better: SPEC4CE

I'm looking for feedback from users of the hyperstealth 100% cotton BDU's out there regarding durability/color retention. How are they holding up? I'm liking some of their newer patterns.

Can't tell you, since they still haven't delivered the product they comitted to on pre-order. I was supposed to have it for the summer, but they've pushed it back continually.
I'm not impressed thus far. The plan was to aquire a test uniform, and then go through full trials with 20 or 30 sets. Since we haven't received the test uniform, no trials, and end of trial period is coming soon. Oh well. |

Bummer... well, thanks for that info, perhaps its more telling than anything. I was looking for an autumn option. Somthing different, but maybe a tried a true product is better than nothing.

I had several sets of the prototype 100% cotton SpecAm uniform, and I wore one of them a couple of times last summer.
I found it to the most comfortable uniform I've ever worn - the material was very soft and supple, yet still seemed good and strong. Also, it didn't fade at all after 2 washes through a washing machine on normal dark coloured cotton settings followed by tumble drying. The production version ECU seems to be a good improvement on the prototype design. But there have have been big problems with the assembly of the uniforms over in China - and hence the long delays (its now supposed to be Feb./March 07 delivery timeframe). IF there's any good news out of this it seems to be that a few countries are also interested in the uniforms now, and at least one has placed a large order for their national police force. So maybe that will help to unblock the production bottle-neck.

The images of the hyper stealth stuff are soo manipulated. Theres a couple where all they did was change the darkness of the picture to match the outfit, and they did it 3 times in a row.
Talk about shaping a reality..
