Canada post is retarded. I've been waiting for nearly a month for a package from Ontario. I did a tracking number search and it sat in Edmonton for a couple weeks before it was sorted in Dawson Creek and I assume it was put in a delivery truck headed to my post office in Moberly Lake. I've been checking my PO box nearly every evening for the past 3 weeks and it never showed up, but 2 days after it left Dawson Creek it returned to Dawson Creek and the next day it went back to Edmonton. According to the tracking number search the new delivery date to Moberly Lake (about 1.5 hours from Dawson Creek) is Oct. 30th. I could have taken my bicycle to Edmonton and back by now, hell maybe even made it to Ottawa and picked it up myself.
I may still have to if they ship it back to Ontario!

I never noticed before, but it actually spent some time in Montreal as well. Is that normal for shipments from Ottawa to BC?

Not such a lucky guy. Did you call CP? I've never had a problem with them for in-canada shipping. Either Personal, or Business.

Weird as hell. I just had my PSG-1 RAS and M82 flash-hider sent from Japan to Canada, then had them opened by customs, cleared and sent through to me.

I called CP yesterday and they said I could get the sender (wolphsnyper) to request a trace on the parcel, but I'm still waiting to hear back from him. They also said that there didn't appear to be a return to sender on the parcel so hopefully it should get resorted and sent out to the correct address.

You're gonna love this...

Okay, so in another bizzare twist of events, my parts arrived today... Even though Canada Post's website, and the lady I talked to on the phone (After I had the package in my hand) insist that my package is currently on a plane on it's way to Hong Kong...

For the most part, CanadaLost gets things right. I haven't had too many shipments go awry and I've shipped thousands of parcels in the past 2.5 years. They do mess up on the tracking service sometimes though. I've had perhaps a few dozen parcels be listed as delivered when they hadn't been. Sometimes they seem to bounce through odd places. Maybe they're accidententally shipped off to the wrong depot and their path is corrected. All in all, the service works, but the infrequent screwups can be pretty aggrivating.

Max I envey you. In the last 3 months I've had 3 items 'dissapear'. 2 were sent to me... never arrived. Tracking numbers showed them at depots for 40 days, investigations never turned them up. I sent out a Home Theater system to friggin Brampton from Markham, and it got 'lost'. I think they hate me.

Damn Postal workers aren't getting paid enough I guess.

I used to have faith in the CP system until recently.

Last spring shipped out a gun, sig required, never showed up but signed for.
That was finally resolved to the tune of them sending me a cheque, but first I had to fax my receipt to them 5 or so times... not the receipt for the gun, but the shipping. Then the cheque was put on hold and not sent out.... still have yet to get it.

Second incident, gun also signed for and left on porch. At least they got the item.

Third incident, movies I ordered at the begining of sept never arrive, I was busy and forgot about them. One month later I'm in the general store picking up something else when they say there is a package for me but i need the pickup card to take it, even though the town's so small they know me. kicker is, the package would fit in my mail box and no sig req
