Also, do realize that you really get what you pay for with load bearing equipment and combats. The cheap stuff will not last and you will be replacing stuff frequently. The knock-off combats and LBE fade and tear very easily and are generally disappointing. It costs a lot of money to be cheap!

ACU denotes the style and cut of combat clothing, not the cam pattern. For example, Propper ACU combats may be purchased in multicam or ATACS- AU/FG. I mention Propper combats because IMHO they are the only brand worth buying (I've wasted too much money on cheap combats over the years and have learned this lesson the hard way).
Word.

Tru-Spec is good as well with regards to BDUs and ACUs. For their Multicam stuff they use true Crye Multicam fabric. I got a full ACU from OpsGear awhile back for around $140, made by Tru-Spec. OG sells Propper, Tru-Spec, 5.11, etc. OpTactical is another good place to look. Great gear and clothing selection at reasonable prices considering its all real combat gear. I digress.

I believe "cheap" was the underlining concept of his first post lol
Some people just don't want to or can't spend $160 on a plate carrier that will last forever, and look at how much your carrier costs with the pouches on it....
All my PCs and vests have been in the $450-$700 range with everything on them =/
When faced with the option of buying a carrier plus pouches for $120, it's pretty hard to justify spending the extra $500 on all milspec gear..... that is until you've tried both anyway lol

If you're set on something to go with UCP and the priority is something affordable, your best bet is anything marked "FG" (foliage green, the darkest colour in UCP) or "RG" from one of the Chinese or Hong Kong retailers. ebairsoft has a huge selection but can be dodgy; I prefer reloadgears.com when I need some repro stuff. They're much faster getting things out the door.

Keep in mind UCP is going the way of the dinosaur and US retailers can't unload it fast or cheap enough. I bet you could get US Army surplus or some other non-airsoft gear off eBay for next to nothing.

If you're truly set on something really cheap: Huang has some good stuff these days. I picked up a cheap JPC in CB for $75 a couple months ago and running it through the wringer it is holding up well. Mostly double stitching, feels "strong", and works.

However, I simply got this because I have been interested in a Crye JPC and wanted a test run with the repro to see if the style of it is something I actually enjoy. These come in RG as well at AD, but he's out of stock at the moment.
