No, it's not. The real one is not even get stop at the border. It's legal to import in Canada but unless it has export restricted from the state then the border agency stop it from getting out of their country. Order from oversea will pass through without problem.

These are mockups anyway so... I don't see how there could be a problem with it.

Yes. Ehobbyasia is one of the reputable retailer in Asia ( Hong Kong ). You shouldn't have any problem with them and if that night vision get seized, just e-mail them and explain that's it's not illegal to import NVG, they must be miss label it, they would refund your money or ship a new one for you.

i just got mine from ehobby asia last week and its a great replica. has a bit of play fitted on the real J-arm though. quality is superb
