Combining batteries?
Would it be possible to combine my 9.6v 3600 mah with my 8.4v 1800 mah? and how much would the ROF go up?

I wouldn't use two different voltage or capacity packs in parallel. If you want a longer run time you should use identical packs, your ROF will increase a bit depending on the motor and spring. In series yes, it would add the voltage together (lol) while having the amperage of the smaller of the two batteries.

in series it'll kill a mech box much, much quicker than a Lipo, probably melt all wires with only a second burst. DO IT AND POST VIDEO.

In series you'll be pumping 18V through your motor. That's not recommended. Now, if you had 2 identical batteries and were running them in parallel, then you'd be delivering the same voltage, but double the capacity. Actually, the Real Sword Type 56 has that capability build into the gun so you can mount a stick battery under the dust cover and a second battery in the stock and run them both at once.

Why dick around with airsoft batteries at all? Go buy a car battery and have it wired up on your back. Take a VIDEO.

In series you'd have a 18v battery...it'd be quite the burst. A really nicely setup mechbox might survive...for how long is anyone's guess.
I'm no battery expert...but if you have mis-matched cells in a pack, some will become over discharged and die (i.e. you'll drive them below their min threshold and they won't recover). Forcing the pack to recharge could result in an exploded battery. Theoretically, you could do that with two packs that are the same V and mAh...but there's no point. Go out to a game and run around...burn off some of this useless energy and stop wasting everyone else's time. |

Batteries in parrallel= same voltage but add the too ampere ratings
Batteries in series= same current but add the two voltages keep in mind that this is just a simple motor and can handle only so much. Plus check your fuse too see its rating, you push to much current through it and it will blow. simple ohms law, and electrical 101 here boys. edit: i dont really think its a wise decision either way man, and if that doesnt please you, just hook up a car battery to your shit and play
