Hogue Grip for a SiG552?

I know it seems kind of odd, since I'm pretty sure Hogue only makes grips for the M4/M16 and the AK series in terms of rifles, but was wondering, would it be possible to maybe butcher a SiG pistol grip a tiny bit to introduce a, say, P226 pistol grip on to it? I have the spare pistol grip to do some experiments on, but as far as the dimensions of a P226's pistol grip in comparison to the 550/551/552's pistol grips, I have no clue of.

In terms of ergonomics and size comparison, which of the SiG pistols bears closest resemblance to the 550/551/552 grips? From there I can find an appropriate hogue grip and see if I can mold it a bit to fit a 550/551/552 grip. Basically I'm laid off and need a nice cheap project to keep my head from exploding from boredom.

Thanks.

The two are nothing alike.

Your best bet would be one of these Hogue universal wraparound grips.

After looking a little closer, yea. I'd basically be reforming a whole new cast for the rubber to fit onto the SiG series grips. The only pistol grip I can think off the top of my head that looks remotely similiar is the Glock 18C pistol grip. The only thing that looks like it'd give problems in a re-fit would be the rear curvature towards the base of the grip. Otherwise, the length of the grip looks relatively accurate, with probably some give or take in the actual length.

But, then again, like I said, this would be a butcher project. I'm not expecting this to be easy, or just a single-day project. I'm also expecting a lot of trial and error in the process of it as well. I know there's a "universal" fit, but the actual length of it may be shy of what I'm trying to accomplish here.

Edit: Crunch, any reference of where to get one of those?

Those rubber slip-on grips are available from Hogue itself, many HK airsoft stores (not genuine Hogue product), and some police equipment stores (as the watermark on that pic indicates).

You can get them at several places. I know they're readily available on ebay, and other places The Saint stated.

It's not a full grip like you wanted, but will give you something similar. And it's probably your only real option.
