90% sure it will be considered as the restricted part of the receiver. AFAIK although the serial is not stamped on the lower receiver, uneducated officers of our excellent CBSA will probably most likely say this is a receiver, and you'll have alot of explaining to do+ possibility of seizure. basically, if it looks like a gun, it will draw attention. gd luck nonetheless

I had one seized by Canada Customs. It took me 6 months, 3 appeal letters and a lot of phone calls (and had to answer a lot of questions) before it was released.

What brand and model? Case number? If it's been appealed once, people can refer to the case for subsequent imports.

It's the G&P MK14 Mod0 Conversion kit.
http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...m=GP-KIT-CK007 Unfortunately, I don't have the case number anymore. I got it released last July. I didn't see any reason to keep the paperwork. Anyways, the point of my post is that the risk of the hassle still remains. I'm sure you can get it appealed... but it's the legwork and formal letters that you have to write. |

He's bringing this in by plane not shipping it im assuming, so the usual idiot inspectors aren't going to be handling it without him being there to answer questions, he will have to declare it and explain what it is himself on the spot and hope they buy it...

That'll be interesting when having to explain the object shape on the x-ray... lol.
But seriously though... bring a really really big suitcase. The box for the kit isn't small. It's larger than my Marui P90 box. |
