airsoftparts, sells a Surefire 6P knockoff, ultrafire i think that has an available pressure switch. Its pretty good, and economical.

I was on a flashlight forum and their rule of thumb is to cut any knock offs ratings by 1/2when comparing to surefire's specs. I know my 110 lum surefire was brighter then a guys 225 lum knockoff.
Surefires are overpriced but when I broke my pressure switch and bulb they fixed it for free-no questions asked, no problems with me in Canada. Most people will never break their light but it is nice to know they stand behind their stuff. |

Alright, I'll admit I'm biased.
<AHEM> Hi, my name's Shawn, and I'm a SureFire junkie. It also helps that I sell the stuff for a living. I'd recommend a Surefire G2, upgrade right out of the gates to a P61 lamp assembly. Mount it with a M79 light mount, and put it all together with a Pelican tape switch. Cheap cheerful and gets the job done. It also puts out a proven 120 lumens (I've seen the light spectrometer results myself, kids. Some companies overstate their outputs) for 20 minutes. I run EXACTLY this same setup myself, and I play nothing but low-light CQB. Nice beamshape, and the yellowish light of the Xenon cuts through haze and smoke better than blue-white LED lights. If you want to take it to the next level, change the G2 to a G3, and upgrade to a P91 lamp. 200 lumens for 20 minutes (which is an eternity for tactical applications). I've seen too many cheap knockoff tape switches that fail, and offer too much resistance, resulting in lowered output, decreased runtime, and overheat. Personally, I'm starting to move away from tape switches after watching Chris Costa talk about them.

the 15000 lux on mine has been tested by a custommer and i design my pressure pads myself so they are very reliable... i know surefire are great but they are not the best lumen for the buck imo and switching on the leds flashlights are electronically controlled so not so much resistance
just my 2 cents

For some serious lightling... this would be nice (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15685)
But lumens for buck, I think this one is good enough for me http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.976 Comes with pressure pads, rail mounts and stuffs. It's Xenon, hence it might have issues with heat and batt life for prolong usage. But for skirmish/CQB use, don't think it's of an issue though. |

For the dealextreme lights, they sell several pressure mounts but it's not very clear which flashlight uses them.
Does anyone have experience buying flashlights off DX and one of their pressure switches and having it work? Mind posting the combination so I can have a look or potentially buy it?

Try the G&P HID it's supposed to be some insane 3500 lumens but I'm not that crazy to shine it on myself, but putting side by side with my car HID and stood like 30ft away they look the same to me. The only shitty thing about it is that a replacement bulb will cost me $130 US
