The laser cut tang that prevents the trigger from resetting too far forward.
It takes up the pre-break slack. It's the part you bend forward |

Looks like mine was a first batch....lol
The trigger pull is pretty good right now, but I do feel left out a bit.... |

Captain KK sent 5 to me... three of them he indicated did not have the cutout to provide the adjustment, so he delayed the shipment on that till they were cut. Of interesting note, is that one of them was cut on the side opposite the other 4. Ultimately, it doesn't matter which side it was cut on, it was just interesting.
Andrew... you THINK your trigger pull is good now. ... wait till you try one of these bad boys out... I'll let you molest one of the several pistols I have it installed in. I have the trigger pull tuned to a feathery light 2mm pull in one of them. I tried to take the pull shorter, but it was affecting the sear's reliability in hooking up with the hammer. The only way to do that is to actually file down the hooks between the sear and hammer.

I still have some options available in that respect....just for reference sake, how much would you say your bent tab stuck out from the regular surface of the trigger loop?

You can make you're own cut. As I've said before, I've been doing this with stock trigger bars for a while. Though the stock trigger bar metal is much softer than steel, so it doesn't hold it form as well. Luckly the when the trigger is resetting there isn't much forward force. So your adjustment will stay that way for a long time. But if you continue to bend it back and forth you stand a chance to break it. The depth of the cut will mater in that sense as well.
I cut staight up and down because...ummm I don't have EDM wire cutting capability. I use a thin diamond cut off wheel (dremel). I would say a safe bend would be right around 1mm anything above that could cause problems with the disconnector resetting. It's really a very minimal looking adjustment. KK sent me one of each. Though I didn't specify....I had assumed they were all cut. But I wound up cutting the one that wasn't myself.

Minor update, I am calling this done for now until I find some other way of spending money on it.....
added a "blast shield"(for airsoft, lol), and my cocking handle got here. also used some natural light in these pic, with extra boost from a flash... |

The blast shield...well, it looks cool
Umm, it protects the lense from ricocheting bbs (sort of)...yeah. That's what it does. Let me think of more things you can spend you money on. You'll need a Dot Hood to keep down the glare ring. You might want a switch knob to make it a little easier to turn on and off. And how about a lense cover. OOO Arredondo makes all that stuff http://www.arredondoaccessories.com/...?cid=1002,2031 ...wait your knob is pretty big. Is that a click switch c-more? Rich bastardo. Are you satisfied with the reach to your mag release? Maybe you need an extended button? You should try a thumb rest, they work really well for hand placement and really adds to handling and control. Mag base pads add a nice touch... Have you short stroked it? How's the weight distribution? Need a steel magwell or steel MSH? Titanium MSH cap to go along with the steel msh? Just a few ideas ....sorry I'm bored. Nice pics BTW.

And yes, it the click model... I am actually pretty satisfy with the stock mag release, the size and reach is fine for my thumb. The thumb rest, right now it is the mount of the C-More, the contour of the 9Ball slide catch and that kinda forms a nice spot for my weak thumb to sit on. Though I am intrigued by your screw idea...might investigate that further... Mag base pad is expensive because you have to spend 5X the money....lol Yes the gun is short stroked, with a custom spacer I got from work... With the mag in the gun feels fine balance-wise....slightly nose heavy which is how I like it.... |
