The vsr-10 should already have some barrel spacers in it, unless the G-spec's different...

The g spec does have a barrel spacer but its not what i was talking about. The laylax one has nice big orings that stop the barrel from rotating.

Alright I cleaned the inner with silicone and cold washed the rubber.
I must say I'm impressed, my shots are alot straighter and consistant, I mean its not perfect but it is still an airsoft gun. |

Wow, great thread. Very useful. Managed to upgrade most parts of my VSR-10 clone even though it's the first I even play in an airsoft gun. This guide is great!
And Bean you are very nice in also helping directly online. Many thanks! |

I would love to get sponsored by an airsoft store of some sort to do lots of tests with springs and parts. Get velocity readings off different springs. Compare parts to parts but alas I don't see that happening. I will continue to update this on new things I put into the gun though. I plan a comparison on different hopup rubbers.

Awesome I just sent pdi and laylax emails regarding my review. I want to see if we can work something out for review samples.

Extremely helpful guide!!
If I were a major parts company I'd give parts to Bean, If he told me to buy a certain brand I defiantly would!! |

Bean suggested that I add this to his thread :
I own a USR-11 (a clone of the VSR-10 from HFC). I had numerous misfeeds after installing a bunch of internal upgrades. After much testing I realized that if I push the mag inside while cocking I would get no misfeeds at all. as you can realize, it's not very handy. I tried screwing everything a bit tighter but to no avail. But I found a way to make the mag fit in better. I own some sheets of plastic of different thickness (for modeling). What I did to fix the problem was glue a thin layer of plastic inside the hole (on the mag) where the mag clamps (glue it up in the hole, closer to where the BB come out). The plastic ends up making the hole smaller, forcing the mag higher once the pin from gun clips in. 100% feeding rate since then. Plastic I used is 0.25 mm thick. I tried 2 layers and it was too much. I couldn't even clamp in the mag. Hope it helps anyone who reads this thread and has this problem.

See for christmas I'm going to be able to put in about $200 worth of stuff into my Well MB03. What should I get?
I'm thinking of a PDI 6.01 barrel, FIREflY hop-up rubber, laylax 170SP spring, and a cylinder head damper kit. -along with some .33 gram bb's Do you guys think that my money is better spent with a zero trigger, a cylinder set combo, or what? |
