What it means is you can hook it up to a car battery and use the car battery as the power source (instead of your wall plug).

You can't charge a car battery with it.

I just looked it up. Maybe im wrong :P

"6. The charger comes with jumpers so you can run it off a car battery (very handy for those remote games. The jumpers can also be used to charge a car battery!"

From a quick google search ive noticed most places that advertise the charger for sale choose to include "Strong enough to charge a car battery!" in their description.

This is the way I see it...

Its like the saying "strong enough for a man, but made for a woman" it might work for charging a car battery, but it doesn't mean you should. lol

I wonder if this would be a good place to post this.
I just attempted to hook up my TLP 4000c pulse charger to my 9.6V 4000mAh elite battery pack, and all I get is a red light. Nothing flashes, nothing...
the only thing I notice is that the charger heats up. This can't be normal o_o
I tried to hook it up to my other 8.4V mini batteries and they seem to operate just fine. Anyone have any advice?

Sounds like the charger is unable to recognise the pack and there maybe some sort of feed back, I wish I could offer more but thats all I can summise. I had something similar happen and it turned out I had a damaged battery.

Helps if you have the polarity correct

Maybe just the user (not an insult or anything like that), i have the same charger and i asked question about it and after i mis-operated it.

Maybe the battery isn't new, maybe the you should try a wall charger or another charger to see if the battery can charge, try another mode of charge (discharge/charge X3 or slow time).

If anything is possible, 2 things still possible throw the battery away in the street...or use a baseball bat to open the charger and see if something is broken inside.

Like i say i was wrong operating it at first, but it seem it's not your first time so don't read this message...

It's my battery. He actually told me via PM that he made a large adaptor but forgot to reverse the polarity! (mini and large are reversed)

If the electric discharge is strong enouh to charge a car battery then you probably can charge a car battery. I'm assuming that 4000c is equivalent to 4000 farads since discharge is normally done by a capacitor? If so I can actually give you the mathimatical formula to calculate if the discharge is strong enough to charge your car battery. That is, assuming you actually care for that XD. You'd pobably eed additional information but I'm pretty sure it's all measurable.

Best of luck,
