Tokyo Marui M9
I bought this gun quite some time ago, but i couldn't get it to work. It's a tokyo marui us military m9, i don't remember if its a blowback, but its a semi auto electric. Any tips or ideas on why it isn't working and how i can get it to work?

Semi-auto electric? Try to pull the slide back, does it move at all? If it moves, you've got an EBB. They're meant for kids and don't repair well. If the slide is fixed, you've got an AEP and it's a lot more fixable.

The slide moves back about a half inch.

Probably an EBB, then. There isn't a proper knowledge base on fixing those, since they're not that common in Canada and weren't really meant to be twinkered with. They're like Marui's disposible gun line, cheap enough that if it broke, you'd just buy a new one.
Well, in Japan, anyways.

Few questions.
1) Does it have a battery, or do you put gas in the mags 2) Any sounds or noises heard when you try to shoot it? 3) If your use gas, what type are you using? And approximately how long are you holding it to fill? 4) Have you taken anything apart? 5) If your not sure, post a picture of the gun and the mags please. |

Not all EBB's cock back, most of them are usually fixed slides and not meant to move.
They typically use a miniture version of a mechbox inside to create air presure to cycle and shoot the BB's with no slide movement. Is yours the style with the AAA's in the slide well under the barrel at the front? Or the one where they go in the mag well? |

Quote:
EBB= electronic blow back, meaning the slide does move. Not sure how a fixed slide gun would qualify as a EBB. AEP= automatic electric pistol, where the slide doesn't move by motor, but might be able to be cocked manually.

OK. I was just wondering if I had somehow mistaken what EBB / AEP meant, hence why I was asking. I'm still a noob. I've learned a lot over the past couple of months, but still learning, so this had me a bit confused.
