What gun to get?

So,

Here is my situation. In Malta, the country I am from, there are only 2 shops that get airsoft guns. One of these shops I do not trust at all so I wont even consider getting an AEG from him. He gets TM, CA, ICS. The other shop gets CA only. Now my choice is reduced to the following:

-Either an m15
-or an mp5 variant
-He also has FN SCAR
-and G36C

Which would you get from the following? I read that the g36c tends to break at the stock moulding and I read that the m15's aren't great. How do the mp5's fare?

What I am looking for is durability. I don't want my AEG to break down soon after I buy it.

I'm holding my brother's MP5 right now, and I hate it lol
Classic army in particular makes poorly textured plastic (not to say its weak plastic, but it FEELS like weak plastic)
I loved my CA36K, wonderful gun, the V3 gearbox is good and durable, but the magazines are HUGE!
The SCAR is your best bet if you can afford it, but pulling the mechbox out for upgrades isn't fun as you can risk permanently damaging the lower receiver..
The M15 is a solid full metal weapon all around, lots of parts available for it and the CA version is compatible with all G&P parts!
I'd get an M15, sturdy weapon, I seldom see the bodies break, and if they do replacement parts are widely and easily available!
Being a CA gun the internals aren't anything to rave about but internals can be replaced easily enough

hmm the g36c seems sturdy to me and I am a bit rough with it.
I chose it because it of the version 3 mechbox and many parts for upgrade are available for it and also because it has a compact size (easy to handle) which is great for the indoors room to room CQB I play.

Where do you play there? Abandoned houses? or do you have it more organized in a building or airsoft field.

I would get the SCAR or the G36. The G36 has a great feel. My friend has one and I've shot a few rounds. The SCAR is DANM SEXY

hmm, well ive owned a TM MP5, it was alright, just didnt suit me,
i own a ICS M15, love it, getting a Classic Army CA8-2, im hear lots good about them, CA is a good brand, altho i hear the internals arent so good, in general, TM has really reliable internals

Aren't CA internals better than TM? Correct me if I'm wrong though

Oh and if you can afford it, get the SCAR, but otherwise a G36 would be great to get, very solid gun.

CA has shown a vast improvement in their quality for internals, well I suppose anything was better than the shite they used to pass for pistons and what not but I believe for the time being TM is still better.

I think CA has more durable internals (steel gears, 7mm gearbox) but their quality control isn't as good as TM, so they might need some adjustments. But once properly installed they should last longer. CA is nearly at TM level in all aspects and better in some. Anyways I've owned a CA MP5 and M15, both we're really nice guns, the latest MP5 (B&T) is a really nice gun, sliding hop up stays dead on, nice metal body, works for CQB or outdoors. Plastics are decent, awesome ROF with 9.6 volt. I sold both of them, but I kind of wish I never sold the MP5 and keep on eye on the classifieds for another one. Any CA gun nowadays is a decent bet, can't really go wrong.

Out of your choices I have owned an MP5 and I currently own a TM G36c.

The 36 is an extremly versatile AEG. It's really solid and is easy to take apart and upgraid. I love the version 3 mech box. I like the sound and feeling vs version 2 mech boxes. I would recomend the G36 from experience. Really solid gun.

Hmm, what are the laws in your country? Have you considered purchasing one out of country if the laws allow it? The shipping will be much, but if there are no restrictions on importing them, the only restriction would be how much you're able to shell out for one.

Some parts are better (CA gears), some are alot worse (CA piston, though its hard to top the TM piston, that thing rocks!). Anyway I haven't seen any RECENT CA guns so it's hard to say whether you'll get a good one or not, it's really hit and miss with them.
Typically TM has internals that will last longer, but CA is better for upgrading, I'd replace the piston and bushings and shim it as soon as you get it though...

Here in Malta we have MTAC (Malta Tactical Airsoft Club) and ssome other club but I forgot its name. I'm with MTAC. We currently use Victoria Shooting Range at Tal-Handaq but we will soon obtain permits to use Ta' Qali (after public hours). Here's a link http://mtac.no-ip.info/

So basically, from experience if you had to choos one which would it be? I initially wanted to get a ca36c but i read that the stock cracks and the fire selector switch wobbles. Then I moved on to the m15 cqb. Did anyone have bad experiences with it or any m15? Any more thoughts on the mp5? I'm really confused :banghead: I read soo much reviews. I just can't decide!

I've had a CA M15 rifle for a while now, and it's very solid. Nothing loose, nothing broken, etc. While it hasn't been gamed, it's had a lot of BBs put through it, and it always performed flawlessly. I have no upgrades installed at the moment, although have a few internals I will be replacing eventually, like spring, piston, heads, guide, nozzle, etc. But stock, it's great. It's just not a very high performer shooting at about 300 fps.
