What do you want to redesign, exactly? Your question is vague.

So my answer will be equally vague: Do you have a gunsmith license? Do you have the right to modify, rebuild or create from parts Prohibited items?
Do you have the right to buy and sell Prohibited items?

If you answer no to any of the above and the product you want to work with is an airsoft gun instead of an accessory, you are out of luck.

Licence.no,I don't have.I wanted to convert AEG's to GBB's.
Did I ask the wrong question?. Perhaps I should have asked
about a airsmith lic. if there is such a thing. It would consist
of new internals lower receivers and stock plus a few other
things. I realize airsoft guns are considered prohibited after
1998.But I am sure you bought one after that date, NO.

Yes we do still buy airsoft guns, but we buy them from legal, licensed, government inspected retailers and importers.

Manufacture of replica firearms is prohibited... but you seem to be talking about swapping out internals of exisitng replicas..

Can't see an issue with that... you know there is in existance a drop in GBB conversion for AEG mechboxes?

I seem to remember a thread on the subject ...

That is along the lines that I was working,I just thought why
not throw a barrel on it to make it complete,I quess not huh.
Well my mod would redsign the inside of the lower receiver
for the stock and for opening the unit to give it strength.
I am using a TM M16A2 plastic rupper and lower receiver to
work out my idea.

wouldnt GBB internals in a plastic receiver result in the receiver cracking?

You can always grab one of the Madbull CO2 drop ins. See how they did it and improve upon it:

one for sale at Airsoftparts.ca for $200:

Ok, I think I understand.

You want to make parts FOR an airsoft gun, not make an airsoft gun.

Making parts is ok, making an entire airsoft gun is not. So making a new kind of mechbox is fine. If you make a new frame... that's pushing your luck.

The only license you could get would be a real gunsmith permit plus the extra paperwork to allow you to work with Prohibited devices. But that's only if you want to make an entire gun.
