i've been looking into it as well. the problem is that the catcher has to let the pump go back and keep the shell door unobstructed, and there's not alot of space forward of the ejector port to mount a universal shell catcher.

i was thinking of this, where the velcro part goes behind the ejector port and shell door. there may be an issue with the action lock bar being blocked (thing on the trigger guard), and i don't know if it is big/small enough to fit and work on the shotty

Look for shotgun shell catcher; not brass catcher.

not necessarily....Aug and SR-25 rifles use soft material bags, not a rigid box.

Haha, I was using a modified shell as a barrel plug. That shell was damaged so I removed the internal bits and shoved a disc in it with a 1/8 hole drilled in it to let gas out. It happens that it presses nicely into the barrel.

The side bag isn't even close to big enough for holding 22 shells. It's big enough for maybe 5 or 6 before it starts to jam. I've got the side saddle bag which is why I made the cardboard box. Much deeper and wider. I found that the bag was a bit too narrow.

Occasionally a shell would only partially eject as the front end could sometimes touch the bag and leave the shell in the breech at the back end. Closing the breech would pinch the tail end of the shell in a horizontal stovepipe jam.
