Type 89 doesn't have enough space in the stock for a large battery.

what does the springs have to do with the battery size?

You CAN upgrade the springs. as far as Im concerned unless the new mechbox is weird and all that.

You can go up to MS100 without losing much ROF on a good stick battery.

u put a more powerful spring in you suck the juice a lot faster. will a 8.4v 1200 mah work for a 150% spring?

Rather poorly. 130% is your best bet for 8.4v 1200mah. 1400mah should be able to do better, but I don't know if better enough.

I have a 160 (I think) spring in my TM MP5K's on a 8.4 1200 mah battery. The ROF is slower and it's loud but it does work. Mind you in the mp5k this only gives me like 320 Fps in a Typ3 89 would do way more.

I have a Systema M120 (about the same as a 150%) in my AUG and my 8.4V 1500 mAh works wonderfully.
