Best guess these are or once were U.S issue, kinda the whole "U.S army" and American flag thing on the side, speaking of which, on the left arm it has "Mountain" and 2 crossed swords underneath, what does it mean? :S

It means 10th Mountain Division out of Fort Drum, NY.
If they're already faded, you can't unfade them. They've been surplused. |

Well, rest assured I have several pairs of woodland that have been through hell and back. The only thing that fades the issue stuff is long exposure to the elements, like any other material.
They'll be good to go for some time I think. |

I think its just too much fuss. I can get Full set army issue cadpat for $110 ish bucks. and they will last along time, who cares if they fade a bit. after they fade to where you dont want em, toss em and get a new set. I had 3 sets when I was serving, and I didnt treat em all that great....and I wore them every day. After a year and a half I started trading em in. You might play a game once a weekend.... those cadpats should last over a year...easy. Dont worry bout em, wash em and replace em after a year or so. no big deal.

Not Eye Safe, Pretty Boy Maximus on the field take his picture!

just wash them properly, cold water, permanent press, with a non-brightener detergent like zero. Even my crappy rothco woodlands don't fade fast when washed properly lol

the best way to stop anything from fading is to soak all new clothes in Vinager and water one capfull to the entire wash let sit for a few hours and then wash in cold water and non bleach detergent.

Yeah, I don't mind replacing them just I want to try and make them last a long time, I picked this up for 10$, pants and jacket only problem is they reaked due to long basement exposure oh well, washed them up and they are excellent ...
Thanks everybody, you've been a great help! |
