G&P Metal Body installation using a TM Stock delta ring (My solution)
This is not for people used to installing metal bodies, but since it was the first time I ran into the issue, I figured might as well put my solution out there.
Out of the options I have read to fix this issue are
Lightly filling, sanding the threads a little and brute force.
The coating on the chamber block is just simply too thick.
I tried installing it with a Boa, but it only made it 3/4 of the way... Now the fun will be to remove it (Applying litium grese woudl have prevented the locking).
Solution was simple, my trusty Dremell, a sharpe pick and litium grease.
Dremell is your friend using a medium brush and not applying too much pressure (wear you safety glasses folks). Since the coating is thinker in the grooves, I used my pick to remove the extra the Dremell was not able to get to w/o altering the threads.
A little litium grease and the delta ring screwed on perfectly.
I would avoid sanding and filling the threads, this will alter the threads and if you over do it you are screwed. So be patient and do it properly.
