1911 vs mk23 size
Hey all. I was recently reading a history of the old 1911, when I read that it was beaten out by the mk23 for the offensive sidearm of the us special ops people. It stated tat it was more durable, better ammo capacity etc. and the only conceivable downside I could think of was its size. So I was just curious as to what the size or "bulkiness" difference there was between the 1911 and the mk23.

1911=smaller than a beretta
mk23=almost bigger than a desert eagle |

the 1911 OHWS that was going through the trials is a pretty damn big gun too, heaver than the mk23, actually
it has a frame mounted suppressor that worked quite similarly to the SAS mount not to mention the 10 round single stack mag made the grip a lot larger than a regular 1911 |
