This is why a sniper is a poor choice for a first weapon. If you enjoy frustration and constantly being fragged by faster moving, mobile opponents who can put more fire down than you can, sure buy a sniper rifle. The reduced engagement ranges and poor accuracy of airsoft rifles require quick follow-up shots. Of course you can go out and upgrade your sniper rifle but expect to pay half or even more than half of the original cost of the rifle to get it to the point where it will out-range a stock AEG with decent accuracy. *EDIT* You know what, go ahead and buy whatever you like. It's your money and your choice. I'm expressing my opinion here and from some of the experiences I've had. Should you still choose to purchase a sniper rifle as your first airsoft weaon then you too will have your own experiences and depending on what you're expecting out of the sport you may be disappointed or you may not. Naw Edmonde I respect your opinion, and you have a good point about not getting the sniper first. So I will probably get an AEG. Now all i gotta do is find a dealer.

A&A airsoft (http://aasurplus.ca/disclaimer.html)
007 airsoft (http://www.007airsoft.com/) Classifieds on this site Take note however that these options all require you to be at least 18 years old to purchase. There are essentially no other options at the moment. |

This made me laugh.

...Well, to be honest, chances are they won't touch the real thing (aside from maybe getting measurements....). What you'd get instead would be a plastic shelled, battery & electric motor, BB firing machine. ...BBs never go farther than the bullets in their their "real steel" counterparts (Airsoft guns are real life counterparts of themselves, they do exist in real time and in real life). And the last of my $.02 in the language of C... Counterstrike != Airsoft

For some stupid reason I had bought a Super 9, and tried to "upgrade" it. It sits in a corner of a closet and is likely to stay there.
What I said about the spring pistol was actually tested. That should say a lot about how crappy the low-end cheap shit is. Dont buy crap. |

It's obvious a lot of effort went into this build, and it shows. I really hope you'll reconsider your gunsmith retirement at some point...
