How did you get a hold of the metal slide and frame?

Wow, very nice! Did u tried it yet? How's the kick-back feel? I really like it in grey color, look so much more metallic, solid (even if it is a metal frame).

Awesome pistol. I'm in the process of putting something similar together myself. Where'd you pickup the TM 1911 if you don't mind me asking, the markets pretty dry on those things.

hi Jarhead. nice 1911 you have there bro!!! THE classic! i have a Western Arms FMU ( wgc shop custom gun ) that is very similar. i have a question if you don't mind...when you say the guarder frame/slide is ''dark grey''... do you mean ''parkerized''? i am just curious on that. thanks man.

Nice gun. I'm waiting for mine to be delivered.
Are the Slide lock and safety levers black metal in those photos against the grey frame? I read a post from another custom gun upgrade and he had a black Guarder FMK frame for his 1911. I asked AirsoftExtreme where he says he got it and they told me that Guarder only makes it in Grey. I ened up ordering the grey metal kit with the TM 1911 and it should come in this week. When I was researching the TM 1911, I remember seeing the backside of the grips containing lead weights. Did you modify your new grips to incorporate the weights from the factory grips? If not, how's the weight without the weights? I hope I can change out the frame as quick as you did. My first and only FMK upgrade was my TM p226 and it took me about 4 hours. THen again, it was my first one. Nice job on the upgrade. |
