Quick Ciras Inquiry

I am 6'2" and clocking in at 210 pounds with very broad shoulders, should I go with a medium or a large size? I want the vest to come down to the proper belt line(ish) length.

P.S. I saw the other sizing threads but it seems that there are very few people of my size and stature. I just want to make sure I don't mis-spend $600+

Safest bet is to go with your BDU sizing. If you take a large size BDU, go with a large CIRAS. The CIRAS is very adjustable to fit different body types. Even a medium will fit you but you'll have less coverage but greater mobility.

As the picture shown above, just lift the back of the vest, and just plug the steel cable into different holes. It's pretty simple, just take a few tries.

For your size I would suggest large, however if you'd like to try one on just let me know. I have a few of the land ones in stock.

For the sizing - write 1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 etc. on the holes on each strip, all starting from the center. It makes it easier to put together if you pull it as well as adjust for size when needed.

On the real Eagle CIRAS, a Dacron retaining loop with a washer on it is used to tie the 6 straps together. As you can see, the straps have rows of grommets on them for size adjustments. The straps are located in the front vest, internal and external cummerbund which provides the huge range of adjustments of the CIRAS.

Once the straps are properly adjusted with the Dacron loop going through the 6 layers of grommets, then the pull cable is passed through the loose end of the Dacron loop. This ties everything together which also makes for the quick release feature when you pull the cable to free all 6 straps that holds the CIRAS in place.
