what do i need?
hi everyone,
one day i happened to stumble on an airsoft video and said: whoa this is way cooler than paintball. so on that note i ask: what do i need to get started? i would very much appreciate any help anyone can offer on that. I also have a tight budget so i need something that gives the bang for the buck. |

well you need to get age verified first, then you need about 900$ to start off with cheap kit
airsoft = $$$$$ to start off, but you'd need a pretty expensive paintball gun to get the kind of accuracy and grouping from a stock airsoft gun |

Holy crap...a new guy posts and no one flames? I must've missed something.
Anyway, likes it's been said, use the FAQ's to your advantage, and learn as much as you can, most of your questions have already made there way through here in multitudes before, and hence the answers are just waiting for you.

you can do it cheaper than 900
400 for a bargain AEG used (usally comes with a mag) 60 charger 25 battery 50-100 for vest 10-60 for goggles 50-100 for magazines thats still well under 900, but thats not covering boots, gloves, field fees, bbs, or GBB, but thatll get you started. |

So I know what you're going to say, then they should save more and not get into it until they can afford the camos too right? Well how about the $125-$250 tac vest too? How about the belt, mag pouches, drop pouches, onboard GPS nav system, etc. etc.? There has to be an acceptable line somewhere. Yea, I wouldn't want to go to a game where everyone was wearing civis, but seriously one person going to a game without camos isn't going to hurt anyone. EDIT: Just to expand on the above, I just got into airsoft, I have a CA36, some extra mags, and a full set of Woodland DPM. I don't have any mag pouches or a tac vest or anything. I can't afford it right now. I'm planning on doing it when I get some more cash. Would someone consider this lame because I don't have a 100% complete full kit?
