Ported/non-ported piston heads have nothing to do with that area of performance...
However, as far as UPGRADES goes, I do highly recommend upgrading to a ported/ventilated piston head with bearings. It greatly improves your shot-to-shot velocity consistency. I think you might be referring to ported/non-ported CYLINDERS? Assuming your cylinder is bone stock, the one in the MP5 is the same one used in the M4. |

Ok, I just measured the silencer I have, turns out I was a little off.
It is 185mm past the end of the inner barrel. This means I would need about a 414mm barrel, is that going to change anything and cause issues? I mean aside from the fact that I'm either gonna have to cut down a longer barrel, or live with 40mm of foam & silencer, past the end of the inner barrel.
