Peltor Comtacs
Lately I have been considering purchasing a comtac for use in the field. Comtrex sells the complete package headset for $622.00. My big question is: are they worth the price? If I am going to be investing my money I need to be sure I am getting what I pay for. Any input would be appreciated.

Peltor make some good stuf. But it's not really worth it for airsoft especially when people keep yapping crap on the air.
I'm thinking of getting the Peltor hearprotector with soundtrap tech and GMRS radio built in the headset. That would be cool for CQB use (loud explosives in rooms hurts).

I've got a set of Sordin supreme pro mich's.. theyre super nice, but I dont find myself using them as much as I would like. They make firefights sound awesome and are nice for catching people sneeking around but I find it difficult to judge how much noise I'm making with them on. Nice to have a set kicking around as theyre a super fun gaget but I wouldnt drop $600 on em for the amount of use they get.

If you're working with a group that uses radio's effectively, they're the cat's ass. Bonus, I use them at the range on a regular basis.

I have to say the guys I play with use the radio very effectively. So there would be no problem there. I think I will have to ponder on this a bit more before I make a decision.
