G&P Acog problem
Just got a brand new G&P Acog, and for some reason when Im looking off just a bit to the left, this black rough line comes in and blocks half the site, this comes very annoying as it doesn't appear if im looking straight perfectly into the site. I've been told something about eye relief... but I dunno doesn't feel like it. Heres some pics.
What it should be: What happens if i move to the left a bit: |

Yeah.. that's poor eye relief. It happens on (most) magnifying sites.
It means that you're basically magnifying the end of the tube by the direction you're looking. I just make sure I have my head right next to it, keeps it centered. Hated it at first, but you'll get used to it. Or you could buy an RDS. Either way, good luck. Not a defect. Weird that it's a rough line though.. |

Hmm, it was fine for awhile, it started doing that after a few hours of having it.

Is your first pic your sight taken with the camera? If so, then I don't think your unit is defective. The G&P ACOG does have a unique eye relief to get used too. It's very easy not to be looking at the sight square on and get "scope shadow". Try not to change your head position too much, but more the position of the sight on the rail of your aeg. Make sure your cheeks is firmly placed against the top of the butt stock.
