TM/CA Springer Rifle....Questions
Along the same line as my last thread(http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=33540), other then the used AEG option I could get one of those springer model from CA or TM. They look the part, knowing the brand probably are pretty good quality as well. Are there any Canadian importer for these? Also, how are they in terms of compatibility with the exterior modification available out there(rail, mounts...etc)? For collecting rather than full out playing(at most shooting empty pop can at home), with most of time sitting as a decoration in my room. AEG would definitely be a waste. So how about it? What are the cost associated with these also?

First off. A poster of a Rifle would do as good as a Springer for wall decoration. And if you want something to shoot at popcans get yourself a shitty springer found on ebay.

If I could get a shitty springer on eBay or anywhere I wouldn't be asking this now would I? At anyrate, airsoft is as much as a valid collectible item as it is a recreational sport, which is the reason why companies like Marui goes to such length to make them good to look at(regardless whether its AEG or springer, and they still make springer no?). Just for my purpose to shell out the bucks for an AEG is not practical. If I am so much as SOL with the situation of the springer in Canada then thats just life.....just wondering if they are available anywhere.....

Hmm... Springer Rifles? Have fun with that. I don't believe any retailers would carry any of them. I use to have one back when I first played airsoft... Why don't you check out Canadian Tire?
If you really want a TM springer, you can probably get someone to import it for you.... It will be costly. I have a "display" GBB. It's worth 550$ right now after the mod's I have put on it. It's not going to see an outdoor game unless, I have a proper holster and lanyard with it. Just spend the extra money and get yourself a gas blow back... O yeah get age verified. There should be a random assortment of springers there. |

yep....in the process of that....just met with a rep today.....
It'll probably in the end costs me as much as a cheaper AEG with no mod on it, but hopefully it'll look decent.... |

once your verified, talk to the guys at ASCA. Even if its not listen on their site, they can find most anything...
Really, a springer may look fine, but if your gonna spend the money, grab a used AEG...Once you use it, you'll be happy you got it. |

I used a TM springer G3A3 the whole first year I played. It's a bitch to cock prone bacuase the cocking handle is so far forward, but it had decent accuracy - I could consisently hit a 13" tire at about 45 yards shooting .25's. Velocity is nothing special - just under 300 fps IIRC.
Is it good as a skirmish gun? Not really, unless you're playing against only springers. Then again, it's really nice to have in a "springer-only" game

If you really want a kick-ass springer, look at the King Arms Dragunov. If you go that way, go with something that's worth it.
Honestly, even as a collector, dont buy anything crappy. You'll just regret it. It's like saying you want a good sword, then going to House of Knives... |
