5 NOV - OP: Dead Rising - Yakima Training Center (WA STATE)
Yakima News Network Operation: Dead Rising Dateline: 5 November 2006 Location: Yakima Training Center Urban Assault Course Cost: $50 PRE-PAID / $60 PAY AT DOOR ($10 Deposit Required) Registration: Registration: OPENS SEP 8 - http://www.opdeadrising.com Description: In the years following the start of the War on Terror, corporate American began research into a new form of anti-biotic/virus that would be capable of counteracting the effects of all know chemical weapons. The leader in this research is the Palmer Corporation, which is the second largest pharmaceutical company in the world. Combining both genetic re-coding and anti virus experimentation, they were able to develop a chemical that could restart the energizing process of all cellular tissue by a chemical reaction in the amino acids that enabled the storage of electromagnetic energy, thus re-animating tissues that were destroyed by a lack of basic, life sustaining chemicals, such as oxygen, potassium and other building block compounds. During the advanced testing phases of development, an accident occurred in their primary laboratory that resulted in the discovery of an alternative application; terror/chemical warfare on a nightmarish scale. With the effects essentially something straight out of the Bible's Book of Revelations, an unfortunate but expected outcome was the infection of a small portion of their laboratory, located in the small town of Yaki-Vegas, on the outskirts of an isolated military reservation. The local authorities were able to isolate and barricade the entrances to the facility, located underground, but have requested assistance in dealing with the problem. Reports that the recently deceased are coming back to life have not yet been confirmed, but a small number of local citizens and former lab personnel are coming forward to say that there are Zombies walking the streets of Yaki-Vegas and attacking anyone they encounter with a drive to feed on the flesh of the living. Once bitten, the virus destroys the living tissue of its victim and re-animates it, creating a new Zombie. This whole process takes only a few minutes, with devastating results. In response to this outbreak, the Government has dispatched three teams to deal and contain the problem; RRTS (Rapid Response Tactical Squad), STARS (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) and ARHW (Any Random Hero Works). Deploying in 3-4 man "Go Teams", these units will enter the city following the three main roads, with a new team being released from each point in 15 minute intervals. Each team will be assigned an objective, which has a limited amount of time to complete, that will range from the rescue of key personnel from the facility to assisting local authorities in quelling the growing Zombie population. All mission objectives will have a reward that will aid the surviving teams to accomplish the overall mission; stopping the Zombie menace and sealing the labs permanently. More information will be posted in the coming days, so get yourselves ready, the ultimate game is coming soon...... Photos recovered from a Palmer executive: |

Well,
The Army's Special Force's have booked the facility for a week. We have been trying to work some way of getting the same date but this is first and foremost a training facility. I would imagine that none of us will hold a grudge against our fine young soliders who need training. So, the event is being MOVED ONE WEEK FORWARD. The new event date will be 5 NOV 2006. I say again, the new date is 5 NOV 2006. For those with a deposit of pre-pay who need a refund please contact us ASAP. We hope everyone will be able to make the new date and we apologize for this schedule change. |
