KSC TW G19 Trademarks

Hi everyone! I want to ask anyone with a TW Metal slide and barrel for KSC G19 if the trademarks are deeply engraved or just painted on. It's difficult to tell from the pics available to me.

TW G19 metal slide & Barrel

Thanks
Daniel

painted, or is it known as laser etched? in any case they are not engraved. it's a low cost slide (easy to install too) but its a shame its not engraved. it looks alright but just like the stock plastic slide, there are areas where the trades will wear off, such as the chamber.

Yeah that's what I meant. So they are laser etched like the ICS CAR-97 trademarks. What a shame

I agree, it really is a shame.

Also it says "GLock," not "GLOCK," which looks a bit lame.
And the "9"'s that make up the "9x19" aren't even close to the real steel's font.

Before I polished my slide, I altered the trades slightly by hand with an engraving tool.
I dug out the white paint that filled the laser etch using a 0.20mm hand engraving tool.
I also capitalized the "ock" of "GLock", as well as extend the 9's so that they curve upwards, like a "g."
I am very pleased.

Oh, you can also polish the barrel without losing the trades as well (even though the etch looks to be even finer than it is on the slide).
The shine looks quite good at first, but after a few days it begins to dull, due to oxidization.
I am still very happy with the appearance of the slide, however. It hasn't dulled much at all.

At the end of the day though, I still find myself longing for a G&G G19 metal slide. Just the slide.
Although I've heared things bad things about the powercoat they used...
It is easily rubbed off, and that it's an odd shade of...colour... (?)
Beats me... but the trades are still awesome.

I saw your G19 in the gallery before putting up this post. You did a good job with the "GLOCK" trades. It looks like the TW trades indent into the metal a bit. That's good enough for me. I'll buy a TW slide and show you the fruits of my labour.

Thanks
