a clip question

i couldn't figure out any where else to put this question cause it sorta may lead to a different post and a load of cash if i try this and destroy a gun so you could say its a preventive measure

getting on with the question

tm m1911 (aka hicapa) clip will it work on say a western arms m1911 or we m1911

in short is the clip made by one company for a gas blow back compatible with another company's gun

i couldn't find answers on this any where else thanks for an answer that's not flaming in advance

1- It's called a magasine and not a clip

2-The hicapa is not a m1911

3-Very few mags are compatible. TM hicapa mags will fit the WE hicapa crap, some glock mags are compatible probably others. But it's not because it's the same model of gun from different compagnie that they will fit ( exemple: 1 have a WA m9 and a TM m9 and the mags are completely different)

The hi-capa is more like a 2011.
Anyway, Vondnik's right. WA uses a different system for mags.

OK next question if i get all we m1911s do i need to buy clips for each gun individually or will all m1911 clips for we the same(using that as an example 2 or 3 guns of the same make (here's a more accurate question) will a colt m1911 we dragon clip work with no problems in a colt m1911 we or is it all different

as for the clip and mag thing in reality its a clip mags stick out of the gun wile a clip hides its body in the gun common misconception p90 is i think the only exception because its mag/clip is a part of the gun but at the same time sticks out here's some definitions for ya from a dictionary not saying its a good one and these are summarized

clip (gun def) a cavity inside the weapon that holds ammunition and dose not stick out past the weapons design(referring to the part of the bottom of the clip being part of weapon design

mag (gun def) an extending compartment in witch ammo is fed into a weapon to be fired

there is a thread on this, how ever it may not cover the guns you're interested in.

Well not exactly... the clip is the thing that holds the bullets together so that they can be easily fed into a Magazine.
for the old FN-C1 that used to be the MBR for the CAF.. ammunition came in boxes of 40 rounds attached to 4 clips.
the 5.56.. I seem to remember came the same way.. and there was a dohicky that fit over the top of the magazine to allow you to load magazines quickly, 3 clips to a Magazine.

It is a common enough mistake to call a magazine a clip...but it does bug people.

As long as they're both doublestack WE guns, yes, they'll be compatible.
