USP Slide locks back on every shot
Hello, I have a KJW USP with a metal slide and barrel and I shoot it on propane.. I know the general understanding on the forums is that this gun sucks, but I have repaired my mags, put in a steel trigger, and religiously maintained the gun.
Today, I took off the slide as I do every so often to apply lube, but when I put it back together, the slide locks back on every shot, and not via the slide lock. It gets stuck at the very back, and releasing the slide lock does nothing, because it is not catching the slide to begin with. I have to apply a fair amount of force to the slide to push it forward, which THEN catches the slide lock, and then I can release the slide lock to lock the slide forward. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

If it started acting up immediately after taking it apart, you either broke something or you didnt put it back together properly. And if pushing the slide forward requires a lot of force, something is jamming that shouldnt be, so dont force it. Take it apart again and make sure everything is in the proper place when you put it back together. If you put it back together and it still doesnt work and you KNOW everything is in the right place, well, then it's broken. How hard it will be to fix depends on what you broke.
