Spring Installation Methods

Those who have installed spring upgrades know that with a stronger spring, the more strength is required to compress it to get it in the gearbox.

Aside from being 1) really careful, 2) getting assistance from a 2nd person (2-man job), 3) or sheer brute force, what other methods do you use?

I haven't upgraded or used a sniper rifle before so perhaps installing a high tension spring into a bolt-action is a bit easier, or at least different.

Knowing and abiding by safe FPS regulations and laws, and hypothetically speaking, how would you install (arbitrarily grabbing a random high tension spring) a 190% spring into a mechbox?

you can be a cheater and stick a small screwdriver into the back of the spring guide and push on that. this doesnt work on v3 boxes because the back of the box lacks the hole that lines up with the hole in the spring guide. i just push it in with my thumb the hold the cylinder down through the opposite mechbox shell with my other hand, this seems to work fine for me.

the screwdriver in the back of the spring guide helps...but with these irregual pitch springs, things get a bit wacky.
if you only have 2 hands and need more, get surgical tubing and wrap it with that...its like a clamp but it conforms to any shape.
