KSC M93r - BB's feed but dont fire

My KSC M93r ver1 (the one with triple burst as well as full auto) cycles no problem as it fires but from time to time the BB's just stop comming out. The cycling slide loads the BB's and pushes the previous one further into the barrel. I fire a few rounds with nothing comming out and then tip the barrel and have all the non-fired BB's fall out of the barrel. Its like its feeding the BB's but not discharging the gas to fire them.

I thought it may be a clogged gas valve or something that prevented the gas from firing the BB's and just cycled the slide but it only screws up like this every two or three mags, not all the time.

Any ideas?
Thanks

#1- the problem may be that your inner barrel is all dented up or has something in it that is stopping the bb.

or

#2- You are using cheap bbs that are bigger than 6mm.

Try to inspect the inner barrel and the bbs and then try lubing the barrel and the spray some lube in the bottle of bbs and shake it up well..

I've inspected the barrel and its smooth, cleaned it out with a cleaning rod just to make sure, still jammed the same way after.

I've been using BB bastard 0.25 and KSC perfect 0.20 BB's so as far as I know crappy BB's shouldnt be a problem.

Excess oil in the hop can cause this? I'll clean it and test it again...I'll be back with my results later.

No, I meant that lack of oil will make the breech and rubber sticky, which will cause jams. Might not be your problem, but try this: put a couple drop sof oil in a little dish, put in a mag's worth of BBs (or less, doesn't matter), then load them in the mag and try shooting them out. That should get some oil in the right places and might fix your problem. Not sure what type of rubber compound is in the breech of the KSC 93R, if it's the same as the M11, it soaks up excess oil and swells. If it's like the G19, then it's a better compound and doesn't swell.

Cleaned out the hop (Stalker, didnt see your second post in time) and I got 2 mags (38 rounds each) out before the problem started again on the third mag. Strange thing is it started from the very first round in the third mag. Waiting for them to warm up and running them again but this time using the last mag first and the other two after, see if it might be something with the mag and not the gun at all.

Now that I think about it, when it screwed up at the foxden I only tested one mag, I may have just happened to pick the one faulty mag.

But also now its locking back as if the mag was empty at random when on full auto or burst. My guess is the rapid motion is causing the slide catch to jump.

Definitly going to need to buy more BB's before Rawdon at this rate, oh well, I'm only using 0.20's anyway, get them all used up so I can switch over to 0.25's for everything.

Sounds odd. Every time it doesn't shoot, is there a BB in the breech? Maybe it's possible the mag isn't feeding properly and jams up on occasion, not loading a BB into the barrel and just firing gas and nothing else?

If I count how many times it cycles the slide when it doesnt fire a BB, the same number of BB's pour out of the barrel -1 (which is the one stuck in the hopup.) so as far as I can tell it is feeding but its as if no propane is getting to the BB's. Could it possibly be the rocket valve? Or maybe something wrong with the valve on the mag...

I'd say it's inside the nozzle (rocket valve or something in there). How often have you put oil in there? I can take a look at it on Saturday if you are going to the game at the LZ.

Definitly not the mags, clogs up on every round again. Oiled the hopup and the valve area and still did it. Occasionally it does fire and does the shotgun thing with all the BB's in the barrel, bounce everywhere.

I may be at the LZ. Want to get get out there but my ride is tentative. If I am going I'll bring it along.

Hes tentative, if the weather is what its supposed to be (some clouds, 18-20 degrees) then its a go but he doesnt want to have another game in the heat like last weekend at the foxden. Frankly neither do I.

Hydrate man, hydrate! Lol, ya, it's rough to play when it's hot & humid, but hey, it's still fun.

Yeah, it was a short day, maybe only 4 or so hours of gaming but in that time I put down maybe 2L of water and another 2-3L when I got home.

I'll nag him and see if I can get him to agree to go to the LZ Sat, or maybe he'll read this thread and agree :-D

Maybe! Considering only one game day per month at the LZ, I really can't see him turning it down. Besides, it's the last big hee-haw before Rawdon! make sur eyour gear is good to go and your guns are a-okay.
