CA G36 - Two Issues
I'm working on a CA G36 at the moment, and I've ran into two different snags, both stumping me enough to ask here...
1. When fully filled, mags won't feed the first 10-15 rds on semi, but will feed on auto, not nicely albeit. Once mags are 20% depleted, they work fine either firing method! I've lubed the shit out of them with no change! Any thoughts on what's causing the hold-up? (Gun is stock) 2. Hop-up functions correctly and is not damaged (checked) but it doesn't seem to affect the bbs whether it's on or off. Again, any thoughts? Thanks, Kane

Hmm, might not help you to much man, but my friend has a g36, and when I was using it I found the mag stops loading, even tho the wind spring is fine, he said there needs to be bb's up in the top feed slot for it to always work, and when they tap out, your stuck taking the mag out and reloading the top feed area.
I personally in that half hour with his gun found it a huge pain, and always would leave me dry firing(very bad) when I needed a kill shot. Dont know if that will do anything for you, sorry.

A mix of the two makes, and both produce the same problem.

For the locap problem, you can try shaving a little off the BB loading nozzle in the mag well to give it a bit of taper. Before that though, check the nozzle to see if it's deformed or obstructed in any way (plastic shavings, etc).
For the hopup, checked to see if the hopup system is working by taking just the inner barrel and hopup assembly, looking straight down the barrel and turning the dial? Is the hopup hump inside the inner barrel moving when you turn the dial?

I suggest you disassemble the mags and clean it. Remove all the grease/oils and assemble it bone dry.
If there are any screws required to assemble the magazine, make sure they are not tightened too tight -- leave some slack if possible.
