What kind of effective range are you guys getting with your AEG's??
What kind of effective range are you guys getting with your AEG's? By 'effective' I mean before the bb starts to really drop. I did a rough measurement with mine and found it shoots ~100ft or so, maybe a lil more, before the bb takes a nose dive. I'm just wondering if that's good, bad or mediocer, and what other people are getting. My gun's a p90 w/o silencer.

well it all depends on bb size, berral lenght, the inner barrel itself, FPS kinda, hop-up and weather theres alot that can affect the flight of a BB.

I get an easy 150ft+ with 0.25g in my MP5 shooting ~370fps with 0.20g BBs. Sounds like you are getting around the same range as my Glock 19 with 0.30g BBs.

My CA33E is getting wicked range, On last test I was getting easily 110-130ft range while passing through two crosswinds. Chrono's around 393FPS w/.20g bb's.

Ah, well you should have said so. 0.30g BBs are pretty much too heavy for any distance past 120-140ft then. If you are shooting under 400fps, then you need a lot of hop up, in which case makes the BBs unstable and inaccurate. Better use 0.25g or 0.28g max.

We tested my SAR Offizier M41FS last Sunday and it easily gets 50 meters range (165 ft) with 0.25g. At 60 meters the BBs were dropping and hitting my feet. Gun is absolutely stock, 320 fps.

I wonder what the CA G3-SG1 can do if your shorter M41FS can hit that range. |

Accuratly and effectivly* shooting 165feet with a stock gun is near impossible. see : http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forum...howtopic=38192 *By effective its usually the pie plate test. At what distance can you effectivly hit a pie plate...accuratly. for a stock gun, its usually around 100-140 feet, upgraded, 140-175ft and beyond...usually. |
