I'll give you a hint about how harsh; it's easyer to get a real gun legally than it is to get an airsoft gun. Such is life here.
The age-verification process is just something that helps all of us avoid being scammed. If a person (in general) does not want to make the effort to get their age checked, then I like many others will not make the effort to help them much beyond pointing them to the Information section.
It's a weeding out technique, and it works.
Going to a game/meet resolves ALL those questions at once; you get to see guns, you get to ask questions, and your age gets checked. After that visit, you know a LOT more than you did before. It's a really good system.
It also avoids us repeating ourselves every day.
