Version 3 Gearbox Loose Spring Question
Just got a question, it may sound odd, but here goes:
Is it possible for an installed spring to fall out of a version3 gearbox? I'm asking this because I recently got a used TM AUG which the seller said had a stock spring installed, and an extra PDI140 included. Package arrived, and I found there were like two loose springs in the package. I don't really want to go looking into the gearbox (hell I can't at the moment because the gun itself is at home and I'm on campus), so just wondering if it is a possibility that the spring may have come loose from the gearbox. Oh and the seller maintains that the stock spring was installed, and there was 1 pdi140. The gun came with the upper receiver separate from the lower receiver, and the buttplate off. Thanks |

Uhh, there's no way for the spring to fall out. The mechbox is sealed. If the spring "fell out" it means your mech box is in pieces, and you have more important things to worry about.

Since you are asking if a main spring can fall out of a mechbox, you obviously havn't opened a gun before. I suggest you bring the AEG to a local gun doctor or someone who has opened one up and have them check it out.
