Battery issue

Anyone have any good tips on cooling the charger and battery for an MP7A1? I know, I know...wasn't the best choice in weapons, but I've already invested in it...so I'd like to avoid frying the second battery. Suggestions, anyone? :!:

I'd suggest you read this thread concerning the charger for the MP7:

I put mine on a furnace grate, not when the heat is on but just the fan. Mine doesn't get too hot until the end, I just like to be safe. I don't think that cold would be good for it, ie fridge, might get condensation in it.

How did it fry the Battery? The charger should have an auto-cut off when the Battery peeks! If it's not,I'd invest in a better charger, your going to need one anyway for use with other batteries when or if you decide to upgrade your Battery, gun. If you look for another charger try and get one that does Nimah and Nicad and save you self alot of greef down the road. For my use I did't wana spend alot but needed more flexablity I picked up a Piranha charger from Duratrax,it's not top of the line but it has enough bells on it for under $100.00.And as for coolling you can place Computer fas on the charger and one one the battery as it charges, that's all I did.But I also run my Charger and fans off a 35 Amp power supply, and yes the charger can be pluged in to the wall,it's just the way I perfer to do it from my R/C car racing days.Hope it helps.

The MP7 comes with its own specific charger and battery. There are known issues with the charger in use with standard outlets. Read the thread I linked.

Thanks for the help all! Really appreciate it. On a side note, I don't believe the charger that came with the gun has an auto shut off...hence the frying of the battery...lol :borg:
