Propane GBB

i cant find a straight answer anywhere about what is all involved in converting your gbb to run on propane.
i have a ksc usp full size and a kjw sig 226 fm, aside from the adapter, what is all needed to run propane on each.

some guys say you NEED a high flow valve, others say you dont unless you want higher fps.

a metal slide is a must, but do you need an enhanced recoil spring, or is that more to make it a hard kick (if im not mixed up already CAN you make a gun a hard kick?)

metal slides and enhanced recoil springs are suggested to run propane. then again there are some people that have run propane through their stock TM pistol with no issues. ideally, your kjw full metal can handle propane out of the box. the ksc should be upgraded....but thats up in the air.

oops, i realize i put this in the wrong section.
well what entirly do i need for the ksc, a slide and a spring, but the valve is for another purpose like i figured? ive looked around and couldnt find an enhanced spring for a usp, only glocks (looked on 007 and m1, de)

run them stock for a bit, they will work on Propane and I know several people who never upgrade theirs. Down the road you may find that your plastic slide(s) will crack and need replacement either by a new stock one or a metal kit. As for internals honestly you really only need (suggested) to change your loading nozzle to a reinforced one (Guarder makes them) to take the higher pressure from the propane as the stock one will most likely crack. Also ensure you use the AI silicone oil when filling your mags to prevent the o-rings from drying out. Otherwise all other internal upgrades are pretty much to increase your ROF or FPS depending on what combinations and parts you use. I've got a fair mixture of upgraded (some slide only) and stock pistols and they are all run on propane on a regular basis.

Your going to need a new spring guide, metal slide and one piece barrel. Probably a new spring also.

You dont need anything at all. Having owned both KSC and KJW GBB's, you will find that the KSC plastic is almost as durable as the so-called "metal" that KJW uses.
