src m4 help

i have a src m4a1 ris with a 9.6 crane stock...upgraded internals..

my problem is it stop working...the battery heated up and the pistol grip (motor)...smells too..any suggesttions??

motor is probably fried. the motor tends to do that with anything higher than 8.4v. Best bet is to try and find a TM motor and replace it.

Check the wiring in your carne stock as well. Sometimes it can rub and chafe, causing you to short-circuit your battery. This would cause the excessive heating of you battery. Your motor may really be toast as Grim says, or it might have that "new motor" smell, and it's your battery that's toast. At any rate, it doesn't hurt to look anyway.

He means the wire can rub against the box/stock..whatever, end result is the insulation on the wire is compromised and you get a short. I had it happen with my HK33 and my 3000mah battery was good for cooking eggs on. Check your wiring for cracks, cuts and splits.

well when my gunsmith installed my my metal body he did cut my crane stock wire to pull the gun apart...and then sodered the tip back...i guess that was the problem
