ICS C-15... Mag compatibility
I've searched through a few threads i found touching on this subject, but i never found a decisive decision. I know Redwolf says that only ICS mags fit the gun, but has anyone actually tried to use different magazines? Maybe it's just hopeful doubt.. I was looking to get the STAR 10 pack, 'cause i hear they're good and I can't afford much else, and I like the RIS of the C-15, but if it's 100% guaranteed that only ICS mags'll fit, i might have to just go with the M4 fixed stock. Any help would be nice, and if there has already been a final answer on this, I missed it so i apologize and if someone could link me that'd be great.
BTW.. same question for the ICS M4 RIS.... |

You need to do a bit of modification to make non ICS mags to fit, but STAR's 30rds won't because its made out of plastic AFAIK.

I use Star, Marui and Classic Army in my ICS M4 R.I.S. and all feed just fine.

Sweet, thanks. Know of many other people who this works for too? Or do you think you might just be lucky..
On another note, is the M4 RIS worth the extra money compared to the regular ICS M4? |

I use star mags in my ICS M4. They don't feed perfect but close enough for me.

I've used TM and ICS mags without feeding issues.
I also have a C-mag from king arms... I had to modify that thing *heavily* to get it to feed with the ICS gun. |

Hmm... see this is the problem I have, everyone has a different experience with these things.. My main thing is, I want to be able to use the STAR mags, as like I said before their economical, and to be honest I don't like Hi-caps.. I don't like the winding shit, and having a winder on the bottom of my clips would take the realism away from it for me.. and those are the only ICS mags I've seen.
My choices for a new AEG as it is now really are either a fixed stock M4 from ICS, their M4 RIS, or the CA M15A4 RIS << is the dust cover still only magnetized? Anyone got helpful suggestions/points/facts for me? *side note* (CA M15A4 RIS take STAR mags)? |

When I had my C15 I had to bend the mag catch out on most of my TM lows and G&P Mids. I tried using a TM mag catch but that didn't fix the issue. I got it to where most of the magazines fit fine, one TM was snug in the mag well and two required a good slap to the bottom to get the catch to...catch. I ended up needing cash at the time and sold the thing....I'm still kicking my ass for that.

G&P mags works well. It is a really tight fit but a small wack fixes everything. PLus there is no to little sideway wobble when using the G&P mags on the ICS. I also have used King arm mags and it works excellent with ICS.
