M9 Beretta spring pistol
I'm thinking about picking this up. Does anyone have any reviews or other recomended guns to pick up as my "first" real airsoft gun?
EDIT: It dosn't state what brand it is, I'm assuming its KJW since thats the only brand that they offer extra mags for.

Not KJ. KJ does not make spring.
That looks like HFC. That is not a real airsoft gun. I suggest you buy a CanadianTire springer, it will last longer. |

TM HGHU M9 is a nice gun. You wont regret getting one if you can find it. and TM makes extra mags for it, but why bother?

If you're serious about playing, stay away from second and third tier crap and get a decent pistol. For just a bit more than that POS springer, you could get a full metal gas blowback (WE).
Otherwise, if you really MUST buy cheap crap, as Kid suggested get the CT ones.

Those are UHC brand springers at Canadian Airsoft, btw. (At least the berettas.) They come with a removable orange tip (it's a threaded silencer adapter) that you can take off with pliers or something similar.
Check out this link for a few similar springer "reviews." I won't recommend against getting a springer, as they're a cheap weapon if you're only looking to plink coke cans or something... but for another $30 on that same website, you can get a Gas NBB (non blow back) pistol that will be leaps and bounds above the performance you'd get out of a springer. And it's still not too bad of a dent in your wallet if you're not sure you really want to get into airsoft. |
