CA G36 or the Ak-47 (full-metal)
Okay... I am a beginner airsoft player, and am finally getting to purchase an AEG, dunno what to buy so I need some HELP.
I love the look and capabilties of the G36 rifles, but I also love the fact that the AK has a full metal body, and a slightly enhanced fps, and mag size... HELP MEEEE :x: Also if you have some reason that i shud not purchase either of these rifles, those suggestions are welcomed!!! :salute: :salute: :salute: |

The CA-47 (I don't remember its proper designation) can hold a large battery, the CA36 can only hold small or custom batteries.

Both are great and a slight mag capacity difference or FPS difference in nothing to worry about. Upgrades will be tempting to you anyway. Go G36 for compactness and lighter weight for an easy carry. Go AK for that sweet sweet metalicness, hardcore battle rigle feel and general terrorist look. AK may be a bit more solid.

CA has really stepped up in quality. Both are excellent choices.
Tell me this, Do you want a rogue look (AK) or a more uniformed look (G36)? The two guns will perform essentially the same until modded, only looks & battery capacity are different. Once you decide that, You have MANY options to go with. |

Buy a used TLP charger & one or a few NiCd batteries (You figure out how many you'll need). They will love you long time.
CA guns are damn tough out of the box, or least the new ones are, I'd advise using a 9.6v battery with it. |

Oh boy, no you cant buy from outside Canada. I suggest you get verified first then you could shop in the classified section or search through the Canadian retailers on the top of the page.

Well, you know you dont always have to start off with a metal bodied aeg. Sure, they are metal and are stronger but then that gives you the false impression that they can take a beating, in which they cannot. Say for example I have a abs body on my m4 and I'm cautious of how I use it or place it in a field and what not, then if I buy a metal body for the m4, I'll think that because its metal then I can go more hard on it etc
You have to remember the even though its a "metal" body, its not like a real gun or anything, the metal isnt that thick...who wants to carry a 5lb metal body around anyway :P so just be sure that because your geting a metal body it doesnt mean you can go rough on the gun, wack your gun on a tree and expect it to hold out maybe. After all, these are just toy guns. ^^ |
