Yeah, but getting enough power for more than a couple shots will be a feat. Im curious to see how they do it.

So I guess since it looks like a real gun (as opposed to that Alien one) we Canadians can't order one of these things?

Some news...

They updated site with new device...

"Rifle EM40B specially designed for Airsoft. This gun shoots 6mm plastic pellets. Main feature of this device is an FPS Switch. You can use it for muzzle velocity selection from 225 to 400 fps."

But it costs too much for me...

Uh-oh Now I wonder if it is importable into Canada or will a supplier import them and more than double the cost LOL
True though, it is pretty expensive. Especially if you take into account that crappy ROF

This is fascinating. I don't see an assault application here yet; plinking and sniping only with rates of fire that slow.

Aside from the ROF I see the battery only lasts for 300 shots. I get ten times that from my AEG battery. Still, at $250 USD I'm thinking this could be a lot of fun to tool around with for little expenditure.

I think the real appeal would be the fact that it's completely silent, aside from the BB whipping through the air, and that there's no moving parts (well, not really).

A bit more power, and a less stupid look, and it'd be kindof appealing.

Well, it can be used as a sniper rifle during games, so 300 shots is plenty. Also, the look replicates FN2000, a real gun, hence not stupid

Wait, did I read that wrong, or is it shooting 400fps w/ .12g BBs? Because that would kinda suck...

Look here, it's the first 2 articles:
www.arniesairsoft.co.uk
The site was a sham, the site was fake.

Quote:
I've had an update from some nice chaps in Russian (AirsoftGun.ru) about Silent Flash Ltd (http://www.em-gun.com) so I'm adding this as an addendum to the previosu news. Reportedly:
It appeared to be a fake. This site http://www.em-gun.com/ was closed by authorities, but was opened later on the other hosting. Last information about the project - the criminal case was started, the authors are suspected in trickery and illegal business.

Here is our topic about it, (in Russian unfortunately) where we discussed it, and even tried to meet with the authors, but failed to get the gun for testing... http://www.airsoftgun.ru/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=22027

p.s. For a number of reasons (one of them is necessity in superconductivity) this gun cannot be created. Best regards Denisenko, (AirsoftGun.ru)

The other news will be adjusted shortly in reflection of this to change the warning that's there into something more formal.

UPDATE: Word from Denisenko, (AirsoftGun.ru) looks to confim the fears that this project is some form of scam. Reportedly several people in Russia have tried to purchase this product and failed to receive anything, and also failed to manage to meet the makers or see the project. If you see this project appear elsewhere, or anything similar it would be advisable to check things before proceeding, as this looks very much like another scam attempt.
