TM HK45 low gas efficiency.

Hello,
I have two TM HK45 and a KWA HK45. The two TM gas efficiency is about 21 bbs before the mag runs out of gas and the KWA is about 30 bbs. I happen to see a video on youtube that the TMs suppose to be doing about three times what they are doing so if anyone has one and can relate to what is the correct number of BB I should be getting out of one mag fully charge I would be grateful.
PS. I also have a TM XDM.40 that is ridiculously low in gas efficiency.

I haven't used my TM xdm 40 for a while, but I used to be able to shoot about two full mags on one gas fill.

Im assuming all mags should be able to expell 1 mags worth of bb's for practicality sake. (No more gas, no more bb's).

If your mag is running out of gas before emptying the BB I would say look at shimming the rubber of the magazine to the nozzle and then making sure there are no leaks between the piston and the nozzle, and that the nozzle isn't cracked.

I don't own a TMHK45 but I find with gas guns it all depends on temperature. Sometimes I'd barely empty the mag... other times I'd get almost three mags worth of BBS out.

I also find KWA's gas system to be much more efficient than TM.

I have a TM HK45 as my primary-secondary. I get about 2 - 2.5 magazines worth of rounds before it requires a refill, even in hot weather. Perhaps your green gas canisters are getting low?

I took your advice and took it apart and found that the main seal was sloppy inside the cylinder. I thought that would cause low FPS instead of low gas efficiency. Now searching for a seal I guess.

The TM piston head is actually one of the best out of factory. The flanges of the piston head o-rings will flare when put under pressure and expand to seal the piston. It is supposed to be sloppy when not under load so that the piston can move in and out of the nozzle without getting caught in it.

How did you test for compression? Did you cover anything and blow into it to to check for leaking?

rule #1 of diagnosing issues with gbb's: try a brand new bottle of gas. you'd be surprised.
