Li-Po Confusion - Which is Correct?
Hello again everyone, and apologies in advance for my general battery-ignorance here as I only recently started jumping onto the Li-Po bandwagon.
I have an 11.1V Li-Po battery from Valken and an IMAX B6 charger. I was about to charge the battery, when all of a sudden I got a "Reverse Polarity" warning so I immediately stopped the charging process. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that for the red blue banana clip cable adapter and the battery's cable have the wires going into different sockets. Red goes into black and black goes into red (Image attached. The battery is on the left) - So figured I'd ask for some clarity on this. Which one of these are wrong? Am I using the wrong adapter cable? Is there a way to fix this without having to go out and find a new cable / Li-Po (E.g. Going to the IMAX B6 and just swapping the red / black banana clips on the plug? Not sure of the safety implications of doing this) Thanks in advance! Extra Salty and vinegar

If you take a basic fountain pen and pull the guts out they usually fit over the pin inside the plug, then just pull them out and swap them, just make sure that you also do that for the gun too and anything else you'd plug it into so that it's all the same.
Alternatively you can just replace the plug with a deans connector which is the better option haha.

I think the square one is for positive for most of the plugs out there. But there are some plugs are wired the other way.
You may want to go the common way... Or go the opposite way with ALL of your plugs on all the guns/batteries/cables you have. You may need a Tamiya Plug Pin Removal Tool, or you can go with the method above. Wait, if the polarity is reversed on the banana to tamiya adapter... Can you just switch the two banana plugs till you get a pin removal tool?

Wires are wires, the charger and battery don't care about colors.
