Modern GRU Spetsnaz & 45th VDV Album
Some modern GRU photos I've found including a few from Syria. They're a pain to identify as often they don't wear patches or they pose as VDV. I guarantee that there's some SSO pictures in there as well.

These days army has lots of soldiers from places like Dagestan or Chechnya. A lot of those guys look middle eastern. I know a couple of guys who look like Iranians/Iraqis. Back in the day people didn't really want to serve for 2 years and get paid next to nothing but now things are different. Now it's common practice for parents to bribe army officials in order to get a contract offer for their sons and get them send to central Russia. For many it's the only way to get out of those republics and get half decent full time employment. Those dudes are basically taking over really fast. Right now it's normal to see entire battalion of Chechens or Dagestanis, battalion where most people are not even fluent in Russian.
